I came to this work quite organically. I was asked by a colleague back in 80's who was recovering from a relationship crisis - and she needed someone to help her find her long-lost self. She was tired, deflated and yes, lost. She needed more than just new lipstick and a new-doo, she needed support and someone to work with on finding herself because she couldn't remember which year she got lost. (think PH.D, career focused, driven, a marathoner and a strong, kind and devoted human who tended to hide herself in beige)
Six weeks later she emerged in her former favourite colour (burnt orange) and she had renewed her love for herself, her skills, knowledge and her passions. She reclaimed her dark amber hair, her Fluvog shoes and a polished and homegrown style prior to applying for that VP of Marketing position. She had forgotten, or perhaps let go of what SHE loved about herself. She was the first people-project I dug into and the individual who helped me see and feel how much I loved helping people shine. (and heck yeah she landed that job!)
I have had the privilege of working with individuals entering politics, making a substantial career move, in the midst of a relationship change, re-entering the dating scene, authors about to launch a book and media campaign, and non-career projects with individuals working on becoming confident following cancer treatment/chemotherapy treatment and who want a collaborator on the next version of themselves.
I work with individuals who are looking to make a permanent change to how they present themselves to the world.... not just for an event.
This is a permanent evolution strategy that we work through together.

Hi there, I'm Leslie (yes, I am a real mid life human)
I worked in fashion as a model while earning my way through Nursing school back in the late 80's and then I migrated into non fiction publishing - dovetailed with organizational development for a variety of industries across Canada and the US. One learns a tremendous amount about people, values & trends when you dance between countries and companies. I spent time listening to the needs of people, teams and companies all while learning from industry experts as they researched, wrote, and taught how to navigate change. They shaped industry best practices and how to move enterprises forward. (you can see where I'm going with this right?)
Many, if not all of these experiences had a profound impact on my approach to my clients and they shaped my process and fine tuned how I work.
Now, the process I continue to return to in various ways is that of Dr. David Cooperrider and the Appreciative Inquiry Model of Change. In short, the model moves through a positive approach to change as opposed to avoidance of the negative. Life experiences break us, then rebuild us - we just have to learn to embrace all those moments and navigate the changes intentionally as opposed to feeling we are at it's mercy.
Branding, rebranding, Building, rebuilding....it's the same thing, the reason behind each and the motivator might be different - but the opportunity is the same.
If you are ready and want objective help, let's have a conversation.
I do not accept commissions for products or services we utilize during this process. From hair stylists to make up, clothing, accessories -- the only one I am working for is you.
